Memorials and custom stone carving
Thank you for your interest in Charnel Nectar. I accept commissions for: headstones, grave markers, cenotaphs, pet memorials, burial stones, urn plaques, and altar centerpieces. If that list does not cover your needs, simply reach out to me, I am always open to new concepts and challenges.

Meeting and planning
Ready to plan? Please send me an email and include as many details as you would like. We will then determine the best way to communicate as I find it easiest to directly consult the client in person or via webcam/phone.
How much will it cost?
This is a perfectly natural question but impossible to answer before the consultation is complete. The size of the project, the intricacy of the design, and the time involved all contribute to the cost. An estimate will be provided after the consultation is complete. If you are working within a budget, please specify this during the consultation so that I may provide options within these parameters. Please be aware that I do require a non-refundable deposit on all commissions.
How long will it take?
Depending on the complexity of the project, it could take anywhere from a few weeks to several months. I can assure you that your patience will be rewarded with an absolutely marvelous memorial as unique as it is otherworldly. I am one person who handles everything from the design work and carving to all the other functions of the business. Your understanding is immensely appreciated.

Ornamentation, symbolism, and design
I do not believe in cookie-cutter designs or limitations to aesthetic choices. Anything is possible. If you have a specific idea or symbolic content that needs to be addressed, please attach photos in your initial email or write what you need as clearly as possible. Together, we can achieve magic.
Something that sets my style apart from other headstone carvers is my signature etching technique on weather and UV resistant lithochrome paint; I call this the "Shadow Engraving". Black looks the most elegant, but I can use just about any color or combination of colors, even metallic pigments. Although I highly suggest this because it creates bold contrast seldom seen in other funerary art, I can just as easily go "bare" with the stone, meaning I will be utilizing techniques that require minimal to no paint. You can find examples of the Shadow Engraving in many of the photos on this page.
Shipping and delivery information
Customers will be given a quote for shipping with the estimate. Please keep in mind that marble is very bulky and heavy, but I try to get the best rates that I can. Due to the nature of the aforementioned, international customers and those outside of the contiguous US still have the opportunity to commission work from me, but it may be quite expensive to ship. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to email me. If you live locally (El Paso county, Colorado), delivery is FREE!
